Took a long break from this blog after my father passed away in 2015. At that point going to the water was my escape and way of grieving. Fishing still helps me feel closer to him today. While i have some down time post op, i decided to jump on and check this out and possibly write a little bit again. A lot has changed since my last post, most importantly i am a father to a wonderful 5 year old daughter Autumn. Instagram will have most of my updates linked below.

New places.. Better results.
Today was a great day on the river. We hit 2 places we had never been but, today was an adventure as much as it was a fishing trip. We went over logs under trees through extremely shallow waters through places i didn't think my boat could go. Other than getting stuck one time on a tree because of an outgoing tide ( thank josh for getting in the water ) the boat did awesome. Josh Rayner broke the pikeless streak by catching 3 today. We got 3 pickerel 2 largemouth and 1 nice calico too. I lost a giant pike today.. After fighting it for a few minutes and not gaining any ground the hook popped loose no warning. I didn't horse it and never lost tension. It was the strongest fish I've ever fought. Still stings a bit. I'm guessing it would have been well over 40 inches. It keeps ya coming back. Until next time!
